New York Yankees pitcher Josh Donaldson on hitting .340: ‘It’s all about the bat’

NEW YORK — Josh Donaldson isn’t too worried about his ability to hit .340 against the Boston Red Sox.

The New York Yankee slugger said he has been able to hit a solid .345 in five games, despite facing four pitchers who have recorded a higher batting average than his .303 mark.

Donaldson, who was batting .333 in seven games against the Red Sox on Wednesday, said he’s not too concerned about his batting average.

He said he doesn’t have a bad batting average, but when you look at it, you look for the big hits.

The New Yorker has hit nine homers, seven doubles and three RBIs in six games this season.

I don’t have too many problems, I just have to do the little things right.
